The Accounting Staff – Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, particularly in the accurate and timely processing of payables, monitoring of receivables, preparation of accounting reports, and maintenance of complete financial records.
Duties and Responsibilities
Accounts Payable (AP)
- Receive, review, and verify invoices, billing statements, purchase orders, delivery receipts, and other supporting documents.
- Prepare vouchers and other documents for payment processing.
- Ensure that payments to suppliers, contractors, and other payees are processed accurately and on time.
- Monitor outstanding accounts payable and payment schedules.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies when necessary.
- Maintain complete and organized records of accounts payable transactions.
- Coordinate with suppliers and other concerned departments regarding billing and payment concerns.
Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Prepare and issue sales invoices, billing statements, and official receipts, as applicable.
- Monitor customer accounts and outstanding balances.
- Follow up payments from customers or clients when necessary.
- Prepare accounts receivable aging reports and collection monitoring reports.
- Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Coordinate with clients and internal departments regarding billing and collection concerns.
- Maintain accurate and updated records of accounts receivable transactions.
Qualifications
- Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Management Accounting, Financial Management, or any related course.
- Preferably with experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or general accounting.
- Fresh graduates may be considered.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with accounting software or ERP systems is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Philippine tax and accounting requirements is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Able to handle confidential financial information responsibly.
