The Office Engineer is responsible for providing technical, documentation, and administrative support to engineering and construction projects. The position assists in preparing project documents, monitoring project progress, coordinating with site personnel, contractors, suppliers, and other departments, and ensuring that engineering records are accurate and properly maintained.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and maintain engineering and project-related documents, reports, plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Assist in the preparation of project estimates, bill of quantities (BOQ), material take-offs, and cost monitoring.
- Prepare and process requests for materials, equipment, quotations, purchase requests, and other project requirements.
- Monitor project schedules, accomplishments, and progress reports.
- Coordinate with Project Engineers, Site Engineers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and other concerned parties.
- Assist in monitoring the delivery and availability of construction materials and equipment.
- Maintain proper filing and document control of plans, permits, contracts, reports, and other engineering documents.
- Prepare progress billings, accomplishment reports, and supporting documents, when required.
- Assist in checking quantities, project accomplishments, and other technical requirements.
- Coordinate with government agencies and other offices regarding project permits and documentation, when necessary.
- Conduct site visits or inspections as required.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, project requirements, safety regulations, and applicable Philippine laws and standards.
- Perform other related duties that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or management.
Qualifications
- Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or other relevant engineering courses.
- Preferably a Licensed Engineer.
- With experience in construction, project engineering, quantity surveying, or project documentation is an advantage.
- Knowledgeable in construction plans, specifications, BOQ, material take-off, and project documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and other relevant engineering software is an advantage.
- Good communication, coordination, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Willing to conduct site visits and work on project locations when necessary.
