The Cadet Engineer is an entry-level engineering position that provides technical and operational support to the Engineering Department while gaining practical experience in project implementation, site operations, documentation, and engineering procedures. The position works under the supervision of senior or licensed engineers and assists in ensuring that projects are completed safely, accurately, and according to approved plans and company standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Engineers, Site Engineers, and other senior engineers in daily engineering activities.
  • Assist in monitoring project activities and site operations to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and schedules.
  • Conduct site inspections and assist in monitoring the progress and quality of work.
  • Assist in taking measurements, quantities, and other site data required for project documentation.
  • Assist in preparing daily reports, progress reports, inspection reports, and other engineering documents.
  • Review and organize engineering drawings, plans, specifications, and other technical documents.
  • Assist in preparing material take-offs, estimates, and requests for materials and equipment.
  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel as instructed by the supervising engineer.
  • Monitor the use, delivery, and availability of construction materials and equipment.
  • Assist in identifying and reporting site issues, discrepancies, delays, or safety concerns to the supervising engineer.
  • Assist in ensuring that work is performed in accordance with company policies, project requirements, and applicable Philippine standards.
  • Maintain proper filing and documentation of engineering and project records.
  • Participate in meetings, inspections, training, and other activities related to project implementation.
  • Develop technical knowledge and practical engineering skills through on-the-job training and field exposure.
  • Perform other related duties that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology – Major in Civil Technology
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • With internship or on-the-job training experience is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of engineering principles, construction methods, and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and other engineering software is an advantage.
  • Willing to conduct field/site work and travel to project locations when required.
  • Good communication, coordination, and analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented, hardworking, and willing to learn.
  • Able to work as part of a team and under the supervision of senior engineers.
