The Accounting Analyst is responsible for analyzing, recording, and monitoring financial transactions and accounting data of the company. The position assists in the preparation of financial reports, account reconciliations, financial analysis, and other accounting-related requirements to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the company's financial records.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze accounting transactions and financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Review general ledger accounts and supporting documents for discrepancies or unusual transactions.
- Prepare and maintain account reconciliations, including bank, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Monitor account balances and investigate variances or discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Prepare financial schedules, worksheets, and supporting documents for management reporting.
- Analyze expenses, revenues, and other financial information and provide relevant observations to the Accounting Supervisor or Manager.
- Assist in monitoring the company's financial performance against budgets and targets.
- Maintain accurate and updated accounting records in the company's accounting system.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Management Accounting, Financial Management, or a related field.
- CPA license is an advantage but not necessarily required, depending on company requirements.
- With experience in general accounting, financial analysis, accounts payable/receivable, or audit is an advantage.
- Fresh graduates with strong accounting knowledge may be considered.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas and data analysis.
- Experience with accounting software or ERP systems is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Philippine accounting and taxation requirements is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Able to handle confidential financial information responsibly.
